Christopher Dixon Will Oversee Media Investments for Gabelli; Focus Includes Public and Private Sector Companies.

 Global Media Equity Research team, has joined Gabelli Group Capital Partners, Inc. (GGCP GGCP Gabelli Group Capital Partners (Rye, NY) ) as a managing director. GGCP is the private investment arm of the Gabelli group of companies.

He will be involved in identifying, analyzing and investing in public and private media opportunities.

Mr. Dixon is a ten-times member of Institutional Investor's All-American Research Team in the entertainment category, and was cited as one of the "Best on the Street" by the Wall Street Journal in 2001 for his research in the cable TV sector.

Mr. Dixon began his Wall Street career in 1987 as a vice president/equity analyst for Kidder Peabody, Inc. In 1991 he joined Paine Webber Paine Webber and Company was an American stock brokerage firm that was acquired by the Swiss bank UBS AG in 2000. The company was founded in 1880 in Boston, Massachusetts, by William Alfred Paine and Wallace G. Webber.  Inc, where he rose to managing director overseeing equity research in cable TV and entertainment. He became a senior member of the UBS media equity research team when it merged with Paine Webber in 2000.

His career also included being the principal of Christopher Dixon Inc., an independent filmmaker, producer and director of television commercials and PBS PBS
