According to the Hollywood Daily, the Austrian actor who won the Best Actor Award at Cannes this year for his role of Nazi officer Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds will play Mr X in The Green Hornet, reports Contactmusic.

Fans of the comic book are sure to heave a sigh of relief after the project was left in a lurch since Cage's exist last week.

The flick had also got a setback earlier when helmer Stephen Chow had left the movie.

Michel Gondry had filled his place later.

The Green Hornet will be released across cinemas in the US by the end of 2010. (ANI)
