Last year's Rivals.com Player of the Year, T.J. Duckett, is currently a stand out freshman running back and linebacker at Michigan Michigan (mĭsh`ĭgən), upper midwestern state of the United States. Last season, Duckett was the Midwest's top defensive player his senior year at Loy Norrix High School Loy Norrix High School is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serving students from ninth through twelfth grades. It is one of two high schools in the Kalamazoo Public Schools district. They educate roughly 1400 students.  in Kalamazoo, Mich. with 102 tackles, nine sacks and four forced fumbles. Playing both sides of the ball, he also rushed for 1,623 yards (11.2 yard average) and scored 21 touchdowns. Duckett followed his older brother Tico to Michigan State, who is the Spartans' second-leading all-time rusher with 4,212 career yards. During the 1999 season, Duckett again played both offense and defense. In addition to 10 tackles as a linebacker, Duckett gained 529 rushing yards, scoring a team-leading 10 touchdowns and averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
