Christmas 'do' not to be missed.


IF your office party was not exciting enough, why not attend Susan and Darren's bash which takes over Birmingham Repertory Theatre's studio space for two days before Christmas?

Presented by Company Fierce and Quarantine quarantine (kwŏr`əntēn), isolation of persons, animals, places, and effects that carry or are suspected of harboring communicable disease.  and staged at The Door, the show on December 19 and 20 takes us into the home of the Pritchards.

Darren is 25 and lives in the family home with his mum Susan, aged 50. Darren is a dancer and choreographer while Susan is a cleaner. They love to dance to Althea and Donna, John Holt John Holt can be any one of:
  • John Holt (1642-1710), Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales.
  • John Holt (1721-1784), publisher and mayor of Williamsburg, Virginia.
  • John Holt (1841-1915), trader and businessman.
  • John Caldwell Holt (1923-1985), teacher and author.
 and Diana Ross, and they throw legendary parties that spill out Verb 1. spill out - be disgorged; "The crowds spilled out into the streets"
spill over, pour out

pour, pullulate, swarm, teem, stream - move in large numbers; "people were pouring out of the theater"; "beggars pullulated in the plaza"
 onto the street and into their back garden.

Audiences are being invited to help them prepare for one of their famous parties. Along the way there will be devastation, dancing and intimate conversation. Friends and neighbours might pop in. There will be a Christmas buffet with mince pies, turkey sandwiches and maybe some crackers.

Before each performance Darren Pritchard will lead a dance workshop for all ages and levels of dance experience to ensure everyone can join the party.
