Christine A. Callies Joins Bessemer Trust as Chief Market Strategist.

Bessemer Trust Bessemer Trust is a wealth management and investment advisory firm established in 1907 by Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie in the Carnegie Steel Company. Prior to joining Bessemer Trust, Ms. Callies was First Vice President and Chief U.S. Investment Strategist for Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MER TYO: 8675 ), through its subsidiaries and affiliates, provides capital markets services, investment banking and advisory services, wealth management, asset management, insurance, banking and related products and services on a global basis.  & Co. and a member of the stock selection committee. She was responsible for domestic macro research, asset allocations, and structural analysis of the financial markets. In this capacity, Ms. Callies provided guidance to a wide range of domestic and international institutions and high- net-worth families.

Previously, she was a Director and Chief U.S. Market Strategist for Credit Suisse First Boston Credit Suisse First Boston was originally the trading name of the Financière Crédit Suisse-First Boston, a London-based 50-50 investment banking joint venture formed in 1978 between the First Boston Corporation and Credit Suisse.  and co-chair of CSFB's investment policy committee. Earlier in her career, Ms. Callies also served as senior market strategist at Brown Brothers Harriman, Cowen and Company, and Dean Witter Reynolds Dean Witter Reynolds was an American stock brokerage catering to the middle class.
