ACTRESS Christina Applegate (above), star of the hit 90s US TV sitcom, Married With Children and the movie Anchorman, made the agonising decision to have a double mastectomy in August this year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Christina's mother, Nancy, also battled the disease and survived.
