Christian Jensen.


Christian Jensen, MD, MPH, CPE, is the new chief operating officer of Delmarva Delmarva (dĕlmär`və), peninsula, c.180 mi (290 km) long, separating Chesapeake Bay on the west from Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean on the east; named for the three states (Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia) located in part on it. Foundation, a national not-for-profit organization based in Easton, Md. He conducts overall daily administration and operations of Delmarva Foundation including the strategic business units and support functions. Jensen has served since 2000 as the medical director of the Western Integrity Center (WIC), the program safeguard contractor for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for 15 Western states. Jensen's previous experience includes the solo practice of family medicine, medical supervisor for the Dupont Company, medical director of the Caroline County Detention Center and medical director and chairman of the board of trustees at Delmarva. He served as the director of ambulatory care for Fleet Hospital 15 during Operation Desert Storm, director of occupational health and wellness and two tours as chief of the medical staff in the medical clinic at the U.S. Naval Academy. Jensen received his BS and MA in economics from Rutgers University, MD from Duke University, and MPH from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Delmarva conducts work ranging from quality improvement, quality assurance, and utilization review u·til·i·za·tion review (ytl--z to external quality review.
