Christensen & Associates Expands Capabilities, Global Reach with Merger; Leading IR Firm Adds Senior Executives, New Services.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2001

Howard Christensen, president and chief executive officer of Christensen & Associates (C&A), and Rene Vanguestaine, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Equity Market Services Inc., Thursday announced an agreement in principle to merge their common business interests.

Effective Jan. 1, 2002, Christensen and Vanguestaine will become co-chairmen of C&A; Vanguestaine also will assume the role of CEO.

C&A will retain its name and corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, as well as establish a New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of

 firms are scaling back, C&A is using the merger to expand upon 20 years of service to U.S. clients to help non-U.S. companies gain visibility in North America. "C&A is perfectly positioned to leverage its service platform overseas to fill product and service gaps," said Vanguestaine.

"Foreign companies seeking exposure in the U.S. find it challenging to get the attention of domestic investors in this highly competitive market. C&A also expects the transition to strongly benefit current clients by providing access to a larger pool of expertise, as well as an expanded product range.

Vanguestaine joins C&A after 32 years at JP Morgan. In his last assignment, Vanguestaine was a managing director responsible for JP Morgan's global American Depositary Receipt American Depositary Receipt (ADR)

Jeff Christensen, who helped develop many of C&A's products and services, rejoins the firm to anchor east coast activities as an EVP after holding senior positions at other financial communications firms.
