Chris Wright named Vice President for Mobil New Business Development, Asia Pacific.

 has been named vice president, New Business Development - Asia Pacific, for the Exploration & Producing Division effective April 15, 1996.

Dr. Wright will report to Don R. Voelte, vice president, New Exploration & Producing Ventures, with responsibility for developing exploration and producing new venture opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Mobil, Dr. Wright's career had spanned 20 years with British Petroleum which he joined as a geologist in 1975. He progressed through a series of technical and managerial positions culminating in his position as Chief Executive - Frontier and International with BP Exploration where he was responsible for exploration and producing activities in 13 countries in Africa, Middle East, Far East and the Former Soviet Union.

Dr. Wright graduated from Bristol University with a B.S. degree and Ph.D. in Geology geology, science of the earth's history, composition, and structure, and the associated processes. It draws upon chemistry, biology, physics, astronomy, and mathematics (notably statistics) for support of its formulations. . He also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School Harvard Business School, officially named the Harvard Business School: George F. Baker Foundation, and also known as HBS, is one of the graduate schools of Harvard University. .
