CHRIS ONCE HAD a photo in a local newspaper once, captioned as "changing direction at the tip of a slope." Needless to say, Thatch is a tipper, good enough to catch the eye of small-town photojournalists. Thatch is German born, raised in Jersey, and more than a couple of years ago he ended up in the city of lakes--Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chris' art comes from a blend of influences: punk rock, skating, and graff. You can find his work around town, be it on the old decks that he installs in cemeteries and other places, to the bottom of the decks that people are tiding downtown. Chris gives shout outs to the '78 Ditch, Jersey and Minnesota, 3rd Lair, and everything else.
