In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing music for Disney-branded projects including animated features, theatrical stage productions, video premieres, musical event programming for "The Wonderful World of Disney," as well as other corporate and Theme Park related shows. Additionally, he will continue to serve as executive music producer for all of the Studio's animated features and work closely in selecting musical talent. He will also serve in an A&R capacity for Walt Disney Records Walt Disney Records is a record company and part of The Walt Disney Company. The label was established in 1956 under the name Disneyland Records; its first release was A Child's Garden of Verses. The company changed to its current name in 1989. with regard to animated soundtracks. Montan will report directly to Schneider. Montan began his association with The Walt Disney Studios in 1984 and, three years later, was named vice president of music for motion pictures and television. In 1991, he began a four-year stint as senior vice president, music.
