Chris Matthews Joins San Francisco Chronicle as National Columnist.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2000

San Francisco Chronicle The San Francisco Chronicle was founded in 1865 as The Daily Dramatic Chronicle by teenage brothers Charles de Young and Michael H. de Young.[2] The paper grew along with San Francisco to become the largest circulation newspaper on the West Coast of the  executive editor Phil Bronstein announced today that Chris Matthews has become a national columnist for The Chronicle. Matthews will write a Sunday column for The Chronicle, and will report breaking news stories and contribute regularly to the Chronicle Magazine.
