Chris Gore Joins Digital Pictures as product manager.

San Mateo, Spanish for St. , Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1995--Digital Pictures has announced the appointment of Chris Gore Christian "Chris" Gore is a speaker and writer on the topic of independent film. He was born September 5, 1965 in Big Rapids, Michigan. He is the main writer and the founder of Film Threat, a project dedicated to covering independent and underground movies.  as product manager.

Gore, 30, a well-known veteran of the videogame magazine business, comes to Digital Pictures from the publishing company LFP LFP left frontoposterior (position of the fetus).  Inc. which he joined in 1989. Most recently Gore was editorial director for six of LFP's leading publications including VideoGames, Ultimate Gamer, Computer Player and Film Threat. He was also responsible for setting up and overseeing The Game Group, a division which encompasses all of LFP's game enthusiast magazines.

Gore's responsibilities at Digital Pictures will include the creative development and supervision of new interactive CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

In explaining his career shift, Gore said: "I became tired of just writing about games and decided I really wanted to make them. Now instead of simply critiquing software, I'll actually be creating it. At last my dream of a game about flying monkeys can now become a reality..."

Gore attended Wayne State University Wayne State University, at Detroit, Mich.; state supported; coeducational; established 1956 as a successor to Wayne Univ. (formed 1934 by a merger of five city colleges).  where he studied film. While at college he launched the successful magazine "Film Threat," which he sold in 1991 to LFP Inc., its current publisher. He has also produced a short feature film entitled "Red" which is available on video. In 1993 Los Angeles Magazine named Gore "one of L.A.'s most interesting people," which he no longer will be since he will soon be residing in the San Mateo area with his wife and two young children.
