It's ironic because our central affirmation as Christians is incarnation: We believe that somehow God became flesh and dwells among us. That has an effect of recognizing the body as a sacred locus for Gods presence, and if we practiced a more embodied spirituality, we would recognize that sex is another means of grace The Means of Grace in Christian theology are those things (the means) through which God gives grace. Just what this grace entails is interpreted in various ways: generally speaking, some see it as God blessing humankind so as to sustain and empower the Christian life; , another way that God shows his tender loving care.
