Chowder, music highlight Florence festival.Byline: LARRY BACON The Register-Guard FLORENCE - A weekend heavy on music, food and drink is on tap at Florence's annual Chowder chowder, stew of fish or shellfish with potatoes, onions, and pork (usually salt pork), thickened with crumbled hard bread. The name chowder seems to have originated from the French word chaudière , Blues and Brews Festival. Most of the action will be at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince quince, shrub or small tree of the Asian genera Chaenomeles and Cydonia of the family Rosaceae (rose family). The common quince (Cydonia oblonga St., where 10 bands will perform over the three days and more than 20 vendors will offer a wide variety of food and drink including custom-brewed beers. Individual day admission costs are $5 on Friday and Sunday and $7 on Saturday. A highlight of the festival will be the third-annual Oregon Coast The Oregon Coast is a geographical term that is used to describe the coast of Oregon along the Pacific Ocean.
