Chorus of AOL Members Recruited Online, Unite to Kick Off Holiday Season With Live Performance at Carnegie Hall.

America Online's arts partner, CultureFinder, the leading arts information site on the Internet and America Online, today announced the second annual performance of AOL's CultureFinder Chorus at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 29, 1998.

CultureFinder, offering national arts and cultural event listings, editorial content, resource material, and an online ticketing service, is proud to bring AOL's online community of amateur musicians together offline.

In an event to kick off the '98 Holiday Season, a group of more than 60 AOL members from across the country will unite "offline" for the first time in New York City on Thanksgiving Day. For three days this group of amateur musicians will rehearse together in preparation for their live performance at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 29, 1998 at 2:00 PM ET, in a concert produced and presented by MidAmerica Productions.

Last May, CultureFinder, available on AOL at Keyword: CultureFinder and on the Web at culturefinder.com, posted an "Open Call" on AOL to solicit amateur musicians from across the United States for this unique event. Over 400 AOL members responded. From the audition tapes submitted, 60 AOL members were selected to participate. The entire performing ensemble has 100 participants.
