CultureFinder, offering national arts and cultural event listings, editorial content, resource material, and an online ticketing service, is proud to bring AOL's online community of amateur musicians together offline.

In an event to kick off the '98 Holiday Season, a group of more than 60 AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  members from across the country will unite "offline" for the first time in New York "First Time in New York" is the 12th episode in the second season of the television series How I Met Your Mother. Last May, CultureFinder, available on AOL at Keyword: CultureFinder and on the Web at culturefinder.com, posted an "Open Call" on AOL to solicit amateur musicians from across the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  for this unique event. Over 400 AOL members responded. From the audition tapes submitted, 60 AOL members were selected to participate. The entire performing ensemble has 100 participants.

The rich diversity of AOL's CultureFinder Chorus members is representative of the diversity of the AOL member base. Ranging in age from 15 to 50 including high school students, moms, physicians and business executives, the AOL Chorus is comprised of singers from 26 states.
