RICHARDSON, Texas Richardson is a suburb in Dallas County and Collin County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 91,803, while according to a 2006 estimate, the population had grown to 99,200.  & ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 2002

Debut at 2002 Optical Fiber Communications Conference

Mar. 19-21 in Anaheim, Calif.

Chorum Technologies, a leading provider of all-optical processors and subsystems for high-capacity networks, today announced it has expanded its PolarWave(TM) family of products to include the new PolarCast(TM) 25GHz DQ Series of passive Optical Slicer(TM) Filters for high bandwidth, 10 Gb/s optical networks.

Based on Chorum Technologies' proprietary technology, the 25GHz DQ Series of Slicer Filters is an athermal interleaving interleaving - sector interleave  device that provides 25GHz channel spacing The amount of bandwidth allotted to each channel in a communications system that transmits multiple frequencies such as fiber optics. It is measured as the spacing between center frequencies (or wavelengths) of adjacent channels. See guard band.  with minimal impact on system bit error rate. The next step for ultra-high bandwidth optical networks, 25GHz channel spacing at high data rates requires wide passbands, high isolation and very low dispersion dispersion, in chemistry
dispersion, in chemistry, mixture in which fine particles of one substance are scattered throughout another substance. A dispersion is classed as a suspension, colloid, or solution.
. The 25GHz DQ Series Slicer Filter meets these requirements without active temperature control.

"The 25GHz DQ Series Slicer Filter is designed to meet the challenges of OC-192 transmission at 25GHz channel spacing, further enabling bandwidth in metro, long-haul and ultra long-haul optical networks," said Scott Grout Grout

A binding or structural agent used in construction and engineering applications. Grout is typically a mixture of hydraulic cement and water, with or without fine aggregate; however, chemical grouts are also produced.

Chorum Technologies' 25GHz DQ Series of passive Slicer(TM) Filters is sampling today and will be commercially available this summer.
