Choral concert for the summer.

SOUNDS of the summer will be coming to Birmingham this weekend courtesy of the Hall Green Choral Society.

The group is performing its summer concert at the Church of the Ascension Church of the Ascension is a name shared by a number of churches in North America:
  • Church of the Ascension, Chicago, a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago
  • Church of the Ascension (Sandstone, Calgary), part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary
 in Fox Hollies Road, Hall Green, on Saturday.

It will include a selection of traditional English and American folk songs as well as music from Gilbert and Sullivan 1.

William Schwenk Gilbert erson> and

Sir Arthur Sullivan erson>, who collaborated on a number of light operas. See Gilbert.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost pounds 5 and are available on the door. Anyone interested in joining the group should call 0121 247 1753.
