"First, NCEW must assure that those who run newspapers - publishers and corporate officers - understand the role of the editorial page as the heart and conscience of the newspaper and a powerful force within its community. "Second, the organization must assure that the opinion pages reflect the changing face of America, both demographically and technologically.
