Cholestech Reports U.S. Pharmacy Launch and Strong International Sales During Second Quarter of Fiscal 1999.

) helped Cholestech deliver $6.1 million in revenue for the second quarter ended September 25, 1998, up 30% from the previous quarter ended June 26, 1998.

Revenues were also up from the $5.4 million recorded in the second quarter of fiscal 1998.

Gross margins for the second quarter were 51 percent of revenue versus 50 percent of revenue in the same quarter of the prior fiscal year. During the second quarter, company management negotiated a $175,000 reduction in costs associated with its withdrawn public stock offering.
