Bozicas, acting Lowell Deputy Police Superintendent Robert DeMoura and Tewksbury Deputy Police Chief Timothy Sheehan. A fifth candidate, acting Chief Philip J. Kearns Jr., was interviewed by members of the Fitchburg search committee earlier this month, but his name was not forwarded to Ms. Wong as a finalist. Ms. Wong said she is scheduled to interview the three remaining finalists tomorrow. "This is an opportunity for us to have a frank conversation," she said at her weekly news conference yesterday. Without naming anyone, Ms. Wong said she was considering adding another person to the slate of interviews in light of Mr. Donchez's departure. Bozicas' chance for the permanent job. Officer L'Ecuyer and others in the department have been critical of the search committee for voting on a slate of finalists in the union president's absence. Officer L'Ecuyer missed the interviews earlier this month because he was a pallbearer in a funeral for a retired detective.
