ChoicePoint Inc.(TM)(NYSE: CPS) announced today the acquisition of RRS Police Records Management, Inc. (RRS), the insurance industry's largest provider of police reports and related services to the property and casualty industry.

The combination of RRS and ChoicePoint, the insurance industry's largest single source provider of underwriting, public records and direct marketing services, will provide the industry with the most complete and integrated array of claims-related products and services.

This transaction represents ChoicePoint's second claims-related acquisition this year. ChoicePoint acquired Fraud Defense Network(TM) (FDN) earlier this year. FDN is the nation's foremost contributory network of anti-fraud services and information available over the Internet. The RRS transaction is not expected to have a material impact on ChoicePoint's financial results, and will be accounted for by the company as a purchase transaction.
