Gordon Appelbe Smith, born June 18, 1919 in East Brighton, England, is a Canadian painter, printmaker, sculptor, and teacher living in West Vancouver, BC.

He was named a member of the Order of Canada in 1996.
 as a director, effective immediately. He will replace William Jews, who will not stand for re-election in May 2005. Smith will serve on the board's Compensation Committee.
