Chiropractors Experience 7.3% Decrease in Salaries in One Year, but Industry Leader Thinks He Has the Solution

If you''re feeling a squeeze in your chiropractic income, you''re not alone. An industry report in Chiropractic Economics stated that chiropractors across America experienced a 7.3% decrease in their salaries from 2005 to 2006.

According to W. Karl Parker, DC, that statistic is unfortunate, but not surprising. Parker, creator of Karl Parker Seminars, says these lower salaries are to be expected, considering the average chiropractor experienced a 4% decrease in new patients, a 7.8% decrease in overall patient visits, and an 8.8% increase in overhead expenses. For most chiropractors, says Dr. Parker, income is going down while expenses are going up.

At the same time, Parker thinks he has the solution?an industry-wide event that teaches chiropractors how to take their practices to unprecedented levels.

"There''s absolutely no reason for another chiropractic clinic to become a part of these sad statistics, and that''s why the chiropractic profession needs innovation and motivation now more than ever," says Dr. Parker.

That''s the plan, anyway. And, if anyone can do it, Karl Parker should be able to. Parker has over 30 years of experience in the field of chiropractic, and he has a steady record of ground-breaking seminars. In fact, for years, Dr. Parker''s name has been synonymous with excellence in chiropractic training. Driven by these recent startling statistics, though, Parker has come up with a new plan. Not only does he want to offer chiropractors an event to help them adapt to the changing economic environment, he wants to give it to them for free.

Dr. Parker insists that what could be mistaken for insanity really isn''t. The event, which he calls the International Chiropractic Appreciation Mega Event (ICAME), is the result of a 20-year dream, he says.

"I have long had a dream of presenting a seminar for chiropractors that is truly by and for the profession," says Parker. "My goal was to remove the barrier of high registration and tuition costs so there would be no deterrent for anyone who wished to attend...especially those who are in need of a boost in their practice."

Dr. Parker insists that ICAME, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas in January, is exactly what chiropractors need to bring them the recognition?and paychecks?they deserve. He also stresses that, while the event can provide chiropractors the CE hours they need, ICAME speakers will deliver real-world tips and techniques for growing attendees'' chiropractic clinics.

Only time will tell if this "mega-event" will truly be the turnaround the chiropractic profession has been looking for. In the meantime, Parker remains firmly convinced that ICAME is the solution chiropractors need to get back in the black.

"This mega-event is so much more than your typical industry seminar," says Dr. Parker.

Above all, Dr. Parker says he is dedicated to helping the chiropractic profession.

"The stakes are too high, and the chiropractic profession is too valuable to be left to chance."
