The ACS:Centaur is an automated immunoassay system designed to optimize the productivity of the clinical laboratory. Scheduled to launch in late 1997, the ACS:Centaur will dramatically increase the overall productivity of the laboratory by providing fast reliable diagnostic information while minimizing the operator's hands-on time. "We are pleased to have received this news," said Fran Tuttle, Senior Vice President of Immunodiagnostics. "The timing couldn't have been better given the enthusiastic reception the ACS:Centaur received at the AACC AACC American Association of Community Colleges (formerly American Association of Junior Colleges)

in July, and it comes on the heels of our successful initial productivity trials."

Recently, at the American Association for Clinical Chemists' (AACC) annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, the company hosted a Forum where close to 200 customers had the opportunity to preview initial productivity trial data. These "Alpha Trials" were conducted at four leading institutions in Europe and the U.S. and demonstrated the excellent productivity and ease-of-use of the ACS:Centaur.
