Chip Foose and Unique Performance Launch Limited Edition 2006 Ford ''Stallion'' Mustangs.


DETROIT -- Foose Design and Unique Performance are launching a line of limited edition muscle cars based on the current generation Ford Mustang For other Ford Mustang models and concepts, see .

The Ford Mustang is an automobile produced by the Ford Motor Company, originally based on the Ford Falcon compact.[1]
 during Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise The Woodward Dream Cruise is a classic car festival held annually on the third Saturday of August. The festival spans much of Woodward Avenue from Pontiac through Ferndale in Oakland County, Michigan, all the way to the State Fair Grounds inside the Detroit city limits, just south . Named "Stallion," the first pre-production custom ponycar will be shown to the public at the Ford Motor Company display in Birmingham, Mich., at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005.

Award-winning Chip Foose of Foose Design penned the "Stallion" Mustang's bold styling. Unique Performance, a leader in limited production American muscle cars, will assist in the engineering and development of modifications, as well as manage all marketing activities. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  supplier and development company, will handle the engineering, validation and assembly of the vehicles. "I've always dreamed of creating a limited edition streetcar streetcar, small, self-propelled railroad car, similar to the type used in rapid-transit systems, that operates on tracks running through city streets and is used to carry passengers. ," stated Chip Foose, president of Foose Design. "Ford's Mustang is an extraordinary platform for a custom muscle car. We wanted to stay true to what makes the Mustang special but, to create a distinctive new look, we revised the styling cues to include a custom front grille and hood, new front and rear fascias, added some discreet scoops and lowered the stance. Each car will include custom designed wheels and interior touches. It's the ultimate cruisin' machine that stands out from the crowd."

Executives with Unique Performance and Foose Design announced a formal agreement to create limited edition performance cars in early 2005. The two companies initially launched a series of super cars based on 1960's era vehicles. This is their first current production vehicle program.

Unique Performance builds the Shelby G.T.500E and G.T.350SR continuation cars based on vintage Ford Mustangs. Chip Foose, famous as the lead designer on TLC's popular series Overhaulin', is one of the top automotive designers today. Automakers and individuals worldwide covet cov·et

This exciting program began when Foose was bombarded with requests to recreate his stunning one-off vehicles. His company, Foose Design, is not structured to build production cars while Unique and Tecstar are experts in this field.
