Chip Express Names Stephen McMinn and Howard Brodsky to the `Office of the President'.


SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 23, 1999--

Chip Express' Sr. VP of Marketing & Sales Stephen McMinn and

VP of Finance/CFO Howard Brodsky Team up to Manage the ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Pronounced "a-sick." A chip that is custom designed for a specific application rather than a general-purpose chip such as a microprocessor.  

Time-to-Market Leader

Chip Express Corporation today announced the appointment of Stephen McMinn and Howard Brodsky to the "Office of the President."

Joining forces, McMinn and Brodsky will solidify and drive a business strategy to propel Chip Express to the next level of growth. This appointment comes in the wake of last week's resignation of President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Alex Leupp.

Ami Erel, Chairman of the Board for Chip Express, stated, "The Board is counting on Steve and Howard to continue the company's strong performance of the past year."

McMinn joined Chip Express in April 1999 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. His recent activities include managing worldwide sales and marketing activities, and developing strategic and tactical plans for the organization. McMinn brings more than 20 years of semiconductor industry experience to Chip Express.

His career includes various senior-level marketing management positions with Toshiba, Siemens, Gould/AMI Semiconductor, and Vertex Semiconductor. He has also served in engineering/engineering management positions for Fairchild Semiconductor and Gould/AMI Semiconductor.

McMinn received his BSEE from Louisiana State University Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, generally known as Louisiana State University or LSU, is a public, coeducational university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the main campus of the Louisiana State University System. , Baton Rouge, La., and his MBA from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, Calif.

Howard Brodsky has served as Vice President of Finance and CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  for Chip Express since July 1995. Brodsky has more than 24 years of business and financial experience in manufacturing environments, including fab/fabless semiconductor operations and process manufacturing. He has held various controller and financial management positions at Loral Inc., Schlumberger Ltd. and Gould Inc.

Brodsky received his BS degree in Accounting from West Virginia University West Virginia University, mainly at Morgantown; coeducational; land-grant and state supported; est. and opened 1867 as an agricultural college, renamed 1868.  and his MBA from Lake Erie College Lake Erie College is a private liberal arts college that is located in Painesville, Ohio, approximately 30 miles east of Cleveland. As of the 2005-2006 academic year, the enrollment was 653undergraduates and 270 graduate students.  of Ohio. He is a member of the Financial Executive Institute and the Controller's Council of the Institute of Management Accountants The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is a professional organization headquartered in Montvale, New Jersey consisting of over 70,000 members worldwide.
