The first new intake will be not be arriving until 2006 because under the agreement they will spend the next two years in Hunan gaining the language and studying skills they will need in Wales. Angharad Thomas,Bangor's international officer said: ``Studying in the UK and in other English speaking countries is becoming increasingly popular in China due to the growth of the Chinese economy. ``It gives students an international experience and a western view on their subject along with an opportunity to develop a high proficiency in English that equips them to conduct business on their return to China.'' |
