Chinese golfers for Scotland.


ALEX Salmond Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond, known as Alex Salmond (born December 31, 1954, Linlithgow), is a Scottish politician, and the current First Minister of Scotland, heading a minority government.  has launched a drive to attract thousands of Chinese golfers to Scotland.

A Scottish Prestige Gold Club membership will give the country's golfers the chance to play on some of Scotland's world-famous courses.

A pounds 2650 annual fee will get them overseas membership of one of 100 Scottish courses, preferential tee-times and green fee discounts, as well as special travel arrangements.

Biennial team golf event first held in 1927. It was originally played between teams of golfers from the U.S. and Britain; since 1979 players opposing the U.S. have been chosen from all of Europe. The trophy was donated by the British seed merchant Samuel Ryder.

Launching the scheme in Beijing, the First Minister said: "Golf is the growth sport in China, which now boasts well over 200 courses, with a further 100 now under construction "There are now more than a million golf club members in China who are no different to golfers the world over in wanting to experience their favourite sport in its natural home of Scotland, to test their skills at the 'Home of Golf '."

Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, wind power, and hydroelectricity to biomass and biofuels for transportation.  revolution.

He added that Scottish firms were developing "productive relationships" within China thanks to their recognised expertise and innovation in clean energy.
