Chinese discover dragon.

A STRANGE-looking Chinese "crowned dragon" that lived 160 million years ago was an ancestor of Tyrannosaurus Tyrannosaurus (tīrăn'ōsôr`əs, tĭr–) [Gr.,=tyrant lizard], member of a family, Tyrannosauridae, of bipedal carnivorous saurischian dinosaurs characterized by having strong hind limbs, a muscular tail, and short  rex, scientists have revealed. The newly-discovered three-metre long creature stood on two legs and may have been partially covered in feathers.

Like T Rex, which measured about 13 metres, it was probably a fierce predator. But unlike its famous descendent, which lived about 100 million years later, the new dinosaur had an extraordinary bony crest on its nose.

Scientists believe this may have been a sexual ornament ornament, in architecture

It earned the creature the genus name Guan-long, Chinese for crown and dragon.
