:HCTLF, HCTUF, HCTWF) today announced that it has received approval from the Chinese Ministry of Public Health (People's Republic of China) for the marketing of its AIDS-related diagnostic kit: HIVSav 1 & 2 Rapid SeroTest.

China XingXing Medicine and Medical Science and Technology Development Corp., with a distribution network in both military and private sectors, will be purchasing the kits for the Chinese army and northern China. They forecast shipments of 1,350,000 units to China over the next coming year.

The HIVSav 1 & 2 Rapid SeroTest is a three minute qualitative test for the detection of antibodies to HIV HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), either of two closely related retroviruses that invade T-helper lymphocytes and are responsible for AIDS. There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is responsible for the vast majority of AIDS in the United States.  1 & 2 in human serum or plasma, reporting excellent specificity, sensitivity, and early seroconversion seroconversion /se·ro·con·ver·sion/ (-con-ver´zhun) the change of a seronegative test from negative to positive, indicating the development of antibodies in response to immunization or infection. . Testing was conducted by the Chinese National Institute of the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products.
