ChinaB2B.com Forms Partnership With Units of Key Chinese Ministries to Develop Global E-commerce Portal for Trade Between China and the World.

Through these key partners, ChinaB2B.com is positioned to become the leading global provider of Internet-based business-to-business e-commerce services for trade between China and the world.

ChinaB2B.com was formed in partnership with Jinlutong and MCOM as a result of the Chinese ministries' desire to develop a standard Internet-based trading platform to facilitate and expand trade between China and other countries in connection with China's proposed entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO See World Trade Organization. ).

In cooperation with its partners, the ChinaB2B.com trading platform ultimately will streamline the international trading process with China by providing a complete and comprehensive e-commerce solution.

When the site launches in the summer of 2000, an advanced search mechanism will enable global businesses to source goods from members of ChinaB2B.com's extensive, proprietary database consisting of Chinese manufacturers that produce high quality products and that have proven international trading experience.

ChinaB2B.com also plans to include a comprehensive offering of informational resources on trading policies and procedures Policies and Procedures are a set of documents that describe an organization's policies for operation and the procedures necessary to fulfill the policies. They are often initiated because of some external requirement, such as environmental compliance or other governmental  with China as well as information on China's entry into the WTO.

In addition, the ChinaB2B.com site ultimately will include access to a full suite of services required to complete an international trade transaction with China including shipping and logistics services, credit checking capabilities and credit insurance and banking services.

MOFTEC is responsible for the development of regulations for China's foreign commerce and trade, including those for e-commerce (in conjunction with MII), approval of foreign joint ventures, and administering China's major trading companies.
