China and S. Africa mills place orders.

GL&V, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, was awarded and order via its subsidiary GL&V Sweden AB, Stockholm, from the board mill of Shanghai Shung Win Recycle Technical Co. Ltd, Shanghai region, China. The new order has a value of US$ 2.9 million and includes tour Centerdisc CDI 5.0 disc filters, one Hedemora VDF disc filter, three Cleanpac 700/700 LD centrifugal cleaner plants featuring the new CRC (Continuous Reject Control) dilution devices in the last two cleaner stages, and one Cleanpac 250 LWR centrifugal cleaner plant. The mill is a Greenfield plant and will have a capacity of 1500 tons per day of high quality board based on recycled OCC and kraft pulp. Delivery will he spring 2004.

In other GL&V news: GL&V's division, Groupe Laperriere & Verreault South Africa Pry. Ltd., Johannesburg, South Africa, received the contract for supplying a recausticizing system worth over US$ 2 million to the Mondi kraft mill in Richards Bay, South Africa. This order is part of an expansion program at Mondi, Richards Bay Mill. Delivery will be in two parts. The first part will be during December 2003, and the second will be in the second quarter 2004.
