Located at Jandakot Airport, a 20-minute drive from Perth, the China Southern West Australian Flying College also owns and operates the Merredin Aerodrome, 250 kilometers east of Perth in the heart of the wheat belt area of the country.

Mr. Qian added that, "Having bases in both Merredin and Jandakot provides the opportunity for the safest initial flying environment, while still allowing cadets to fly into an international airport. The Jandakot facility has been designed for every aspect of flight training, and includes an engineering department, maintenance hangars, a computer-based training facility and access to all types of airspace and instrument approach systems. Merredin was chosen because of its flat, open country and a low rural population where cadets can learn the fundamentals of navigation."

The China Southern West Australian Flying College employs around 100 people, in fields ranging from flight and ground instructors, to engineers, administrative personnel and operations staff, and owns a modern up-to-date fleet of more than 50 specialized aircraft, including G115 Glob glob - /glob/, *not* /glohb/ To expand wild card characters in a path name.
