 of China is pleased to announce that its 747-400 freighter service, operating three times weekly from the USA to China, will now be stopping at Shanghai's new International Airport in Pudong on route to its cargo hub in Shenzhen.

"This direct service from Chicago to Shanghai offers an all-new dimension to China Southern Airlines' 747-400 freight service. U.S.A. exporters have new choices of either having their China-bound goods arrive in either Shanghai for distribution to North and Central China, or continuing to Shenzhen for distribution to Southern China, Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  and Southeast Asia," said Mr. Yan Zhi Qing, President, China Southern Airlines.

The return flight from Shenzhen to Chicago is a direct flight. Both inbound and outbound flights make technical refueling stops in Anchorage.

Additionally, East Coast U.S.A. shippers can drop off their freight at JFK International Airport with one-day service to either Shanghai or Shenzhen.

In order to make the China Southern Airlines' Boeing 747-400 flights from Chicago to Shanghai and/or Shenzhen, China every Wednesday, Friday or Sunday, shipments need to be dropped off before the 6:00 p.m. cut off one day before the flight departure (Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday).

Located at China Southern Airlines' ground handler, Alliance Airlines, at JFK International Airport, Hangar 15, Cargo Area A, all shipments received before 6:00 p.m. will be trucked to Chicago the same night.
