China Southern Airlines Takes Delivery Of Second 747-400F Freighter; Best Cargo Aircraft In The World Slated For Shanghai/LAX Run Next Week.

China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), the largest airline in The People's Republic of China, has today taken delivery of its second 747-400 freighter from Boeing (NYSE: BA).

China Southern now operates the best cargo aircraft in the world and its just-delivered 747-400F will be placed on the carrier's all-new Los Angeles-Shanghai-Shenzhen-Los Angeles run that begins Saturday, September 14.

China Southern Airlines' new 747-400F will be flown to Shenzhen, China where it will be thoroughly reviewed, inspected and ultimately certified by the CAAC Central & Southern Regions.

This aircraft will then be placed in service on China Southern Airlines' newest transpacific service Los Angeles-Shanghai-Shenzhen-Los Angles cargo route.

Coupled with China Southern's non-stop 777 passenger flights (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between LAX and Guangzhou, China -- the airline's worldwide hub -- the airline is now able to offer daily cargo service -- either 777 belly cargo or 747-400 freighter -- between the Southern California and China.

China Southern will use its second, all-new 747-400 freighter for this new service ... operating from Los Angeles International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening.

China Southern's new 747-400 cargo service will begin Saturday, September 14, with the flight number CZ 398, departing Los Angeles International Airport at 9:45 p.m. The non-stop flight will arrive at 2:30 a.m. (+ 2 days) in Shanghai -- then continue south to Shenzhen.

The departing flight from Shenzhen, China will be CZ 397 and will make a fuel stop in Anchorage, Alaska before arriving at LAX.

China Southern Airlines has opened a new cargo office...located at 6040 Avion Drive, Suite 327, Los Angeles, CA 90045. This new office has two telephone numbers: (1) cargo import [phone] and (2) cargo export [phone].

China Southern Airlines also operates three 747-400 cargo flights each week between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Shanghai's Pudong International Airport -- with continuing service to Shenzhen.
