China Southern Airlines Introduces New ``Personal Service Cargo'': Confirmed Loading, Same-Day, Hand-Delivery For Intra-China Flights.

 of China introduced its new "Personal Service Cargo" program which sets a new standard of excellence in freight handling in China.

For the very first time, passengers can now pre-book the specific flight they want their intra-China cargo to fly on, just like booking and confirming a passenger seat.

"China Southern Airlines is proud to introduce this new intra-China cargo transportation program -- Personal Service -- in which cargo can be loaded on pre-designated flights and delivered immediately upon arrival," said Yan Zhi Qin, president, China Southern Airlines.

"Personal Service Cargo" customers can even request their freight to be hand-delivered, within a specific time period, upon arrival. As part of this new service, China Southern Airlines will guarantee delivery of a customer's cargo package or container to the recipient's designated location within 2 to 4 hours upon arrival.

Freight tapped for regional delivery will be made between 5 and 8 hours upon arrival. Additional cargo can be slated for next morning delivery by 7 a.m. Any delay, loss and damage during transportation will be borne and compensated by China Southern Airlines.

China Southern Airlines offers "Personal Service Cargo" on nine routes from Baiyun International Airport Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport or Pai Yuen Airport was the main airport in Guangzhou, China, until August 5, 2004, when it was replaced by the identically named Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, some 17 kilometers away.  in Guangzhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Jinan, Wuhan, Kunming, Guiyang and Xiamen. Additional plans call for expansion to Xi'an, Urumqi, Nanjing, Shenyang, Zhengzhou and Dalian and additional cities throughout The People's Republic of China by the end of the year.

There is a slightly higher transportation fee associated with this new service and some restrictions may apply. Check with the airline for additional details and information.
