China Premium Lifestyle Attends World Economic Forum in Dalian, China.


HONG KONG Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  -- More than 1,000 foremost global companies from 90 countries attended the World Economic Forum's Inaugural Annual Meeting of the "New Champions" which took place in Dalian, China on 6-8 September. At the core of the "New Champions" are the Global Growth Companies, a new generation of companies that will fundamentally change the global competitive landscape.

Yet only with constant innovation, Mr. Wen said, can these companies continue to grow. "Be brave, be innovative and never cease in this endeavor," he told the audience.

Mr. Lee also made particular reference to the growing economic potential of the North Eastern region of China, by referring to U.S. computer-chip giant INTEL's recent ground-breaking on a new US$2.5 billion factory in Dalian that will employ 2,500 workers. He said: "This further confirms our view of the great potential Dalian and the entire North East region of China will have in the future. Our existing Ferrari/Maserati dealership in Dalian is performing well above budget, and we are now accelerating our pace to further develop our retail network in that region."
