), the largest shipping company in China, has selected an N.E.T.(TM) multiservice backbone network A backbone network provides a path for the exchange of information between different LANs or subnetworks.[1] A backbone can tie together diverse networks in the same building, in different buildings in a campus environment, or over wide areas.  to support voice and data communications for the company worldwide. The network, valued at nearly $1 million, was part of a contract awarded to Datacraft, an N.E.T. distribution partner with offices throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

To address the increased need for cost-effective business communications services between the company's branch offices and its agencies worldwide, N.E.T. multiservice systems were deployed in concert with frame relay access devices (FRADs) to create a new global network. The first phase of the project will connect the company's offices in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, the US, and six cities in China China is a geographical area encompassing multiple territories, under two states.
