China National Tourist Office Pleased WHO Lifts All Travel Advisories for China.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2003

 welcomes the World Health Organization's lifting of its travel warning to China. Over the past many months, officials have worked feverishly to identify and stop the spread of SARS.

Shigeru Omi, WHO regional director for the Western Pacific, announced in Beijing at a joint press conference held by WHO and China's Ministry of Health in Beijing that the "WHO has decided that the travel advisory against Beijing is lifted with immediate effect. WHO concluded that the risk to travelers to Beijing is now minimum."
