Background of CIMRF2005

The CIMRF2003 has achieved great success in terms of both the number of participants (350) and quality of presentations. While in the past few months, great changes have taken place in the scrap metal recycling and trade field. China's absorbing ability has pushed the metal scrap price from a new high to another, also the loss of its appetite threw the world metal scrap price to slide, US has failed in curbing the free flow of scrap metal, the newly stipulated registration system by Chinese government has caused great concerns within the industry ... China, consuming around one third of the world scrap material, has proved to be an important leverage on the world metal scrap price.

The CIMRF2005 is going to unfold a clear picture of China's industrial policy towards recycling industry and the world at large, China's potential market for metal scrap and the future prospects. Discussions will focus on the major metal scrap resources such as steel scrap, copper scrap and aluminum scrap, ect. in main scrap generating regions such as Europe, CIS countries, North America.
