China's Liaoning Telecom Selects Portal Software to Support the Largest Provincial Public Communication Network.

), a leading provider of business infrastructure software for broadband, wireless Internet, and next-generation communications services, has signed a second contract with Liaoning Telecom. Portal's customer management and billing platform, Infranet has been selected to support the expansion of Liaoning Telecom's subsidiary, Liaoning Public Multimedia Communication Network (LPMCN).

LPMCN currently has the capacity to support 700,000 users in 14 cities throughout the Liaoning Province. When the expansion phase is complete, the network will be capable of supporting up to 2.65 million users, making it the largest provincial public information network in China. Portal Software will provide a comprehensive customer management and billing platform for the expanded network.

LPMCN will further leverage Infranet's flexibility and real-time functionality to increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
