China's Green Dam mandates stand still.


Chinese Government hasn't back down on its mandate about inclusion of web filtration on all PC to be produce starting July 1.

According to a report in the English-language <a href=" http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/bizchina/2009-06/23/content_8311197.htm" target="blank">China Daily,</a> , a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said on Tuesday that the government will not retreating its mandate.

Other sector from Tech industries including the US government has approach the china for a review about the outcome of the mandate but still undeterred.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson Ian Kelly said yesterday in press briefing that US has "asked the Chinese [government] to engage in a dialogue on how to address these concerns."

Computer makers are wandering about the situation of the Green Dam filtering software.

Eight days left and the mandate will be in effect but Dell is still reviewing the mandate.
