China, why the west is worried?I only came across New African New African is an English-language monthly news magazine based in London. Published since 1966, it is read by many people across the African continent and the African diaspora. for the first time recently. I enjoyed and shared your thinking on the cover story "China-Africa, Why the West is Worried" (NA, March). To me, two lines stand out: (1) "In economy as in state relations, there is no free lunch and the first proposition one has to always bear in mind is that Africa's development will be a product of its own efforts and initiative"; (2) "These are some of the problems China has been able to overcome, through homegrown home·grown adj. 1. Raised or grown at home. 2. Originating in or characteristic of a locality: "Rock is homegrown music in the United States, evolved from blues and country and Tin Pan Alley" development and political strategies that were not borrowed from Western recipes." These statements are to me food for thought for us all Africans. Great job guys.
