Business & Technology Editors

TROY, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 2002

Milestone Marks Chimes' Leadership Position in Providing Human

Capital Management Services to the Global 1000

Chimes, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Computer Horizons Corp (Nasdaq: CHRZ), today announced that it has added its 80,000th user to its ASP hosted network.

Chimes provides workforce procurement and management services to the Global 1000, and works with its Supplier Link Network of 1400 certified staffing vendors to provide temporary and full-time employees.

"The number of staffing professionals logging onto the Chimes network demonstrates the breadth and depth of our leadership in the human capital management industry," said Mike Parfett, co-president, Chimes, Inc., "The ability to sustain 80,000 users on our network points to the scalability and reliability of our systems infrastructure."

Through its web-based software, Chimes aggregates the staffing supply chain at more than 30 large corporations. Hiring managers and staffing suppliers can log onto Chimes' application round-the-clock to post requirements and respond to postings by submitting resumes of qualified applicants.

"Without the technical capacity to handle our market leading volume of hiring managers and staffing vendors, we would not be in a position to offer the same value model to our customers and to our network of staffing vendors," explained Chay Halash, senior vice president for marketing and product development, "We perform full hosting services at data centers in Georgia, Michigan and England to ensure continuity."

At each implementation site, Chimes consolidates the procurement process and leverages a company's spending to negotiate lower rates. This business proposition has helped clients save an average of 15 to 20% in their total services spend.

The application offers enterprise customers with up to date visibility as to the status of posted requirements. Chimes applications also generate customized statistics on each customer's hiring need so that managers can monitor expenditures by department, position and review market data on requirements. Staffing vendors can also log on at any time to find out the status of a submitted candidate.

Chimes' applications are provided in a web-based format that requires minimal hardware requirements, and facilitates the addition of new users as companies change their composition of hiring managers. Chimes provides support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  and manages all upgrades. Chimes applications interface with e-procurement applications such as PeopleSoft, SAP and Ariba.
