This growth is on top of growth of more than 30 percent last year. In the United Kingdom, Chili's is owned and operated by The Celebrated Group Plc, a publicly traded British company. Celebrated acquired Chili's development rights, and the two existing Chili's restaurants, as part of a merger with Red Hot Concepts' British subsidiary in December 1997. Since the merger, Red Hot Concepts owns 46 percent of Celebrated and is the largest single Celebrated shareholder.
