announced that the company has refined and improved its "Guiltless guilt·less

Introduced in October 1993 at Chili's restaurants nationwide, the Guiltless Grill section of the Chili's menu features items that contain between three and 17 grams of fat and no more than 700 calories. Guiltless Grill menu items include fajitas fajitas

platters with fresh vegetables. All are standard-sized portions.

In an effort to keep the Guiltless Grill menu section updated and provide guests with the most recent nutritional information, Chili's conducts periodic testing and nutritional analyses of these items. Based on its most recent nutritional analysis, conducted by a USDA-approved laboratory, Chili's has implemented specific refinements to the Guiltless Grill menu to correct two discrepancies that were revealed in the analysis.

First, Chili's has reformulated the recipe for its "Guiltless Veggie Pasta While the only basic difference between these names is the shape of the pasta, each pasta is typically matched with a particular sauce based on cooking time, consistency, ability to hold sauce, ease of eating, etc. " to ensure that the total fat content of the entree stays under the 11 grams stated on the Chili's menu. Without decreasing the portion size for the entree, Chili's has revised its recipe to reduce the fat content to less than 11 grams.

In addition, the restaurant has restated the published nutritional analysis of a second menu item -- "Guiltless Chicken Fajitas" -- to reflect a lower fat content. The company's recent testing revealed that the Guiltless Chicken Fajitas contain 12 grams of fat per serving, not the 17 grams previously published on the menu.

Chili's has announced that the next printing of its menus will reflect this revised nutritional information. The recipes and nutritional analyses of the remaining Guiltless Grill menu items have not changes.

Chili's Grill & Bar is owned by Brinker International, which currently operates more than 500 restaurants in 46 states and in 10 countries.
