A BOOK club for children in Coventry Coventry, city, England
Coventry (kŏv`əntrē, kŭv`–), city (1991 pop. 318,718) and metropolitan district, central England. Coventry is an industrial center noted for its automobile production.
 has been launched as a joint initiative between Coventry University The expanding main campus is situated on the east side of Coventry city centre, which boasts one of the most innovative (and unusual-looking) university libraries in the UK. The university is particularly noted for its world-renowned automotive design and engineering degree courses as  and the bookselling chain Waterstones.

Children who have joined the club are getting monthly newsletters, free review copies of books to write about and a chance to go to readings and other special events.

Dr Clare Clare, county (1991 pop. 90,918), 1,231 sq mi (3,188 sq km), W Republic of Ireland, between Galway Bay and the Shannon River. The county and Roman Catholic seat is Ennis. The terrain is broken and hilly, with many bogs and lakes; the coastline is especially rugged.  Wood, the director of Coventry University's reading and child development applied research group, said: "The book club is essentially trying to achieve the same ends as our research projects: it's about helping children to become confident and competent readers who see books as enjoyable and relevant to them."
