Children to meet favourite writers.

HUNDREDS of youngsters in Northumberland will be able to meet some of their favourite authors when an annual celebration of children's books gets underway next week.

Staff at the county's libraries have organised the get-togethers as part of the 23rd Northern Children's Book Festival, which runs from Monday to Saturday, November 18.

It is one of the biggest children's book festivals in the UK and has grown to involve libraries and schools across the region, attracting more than 40 authors to visit each November. Yesterday Marguerite Marguerite, for French women thus named, use Margaret
