Children to meet favourite writers.HUNDREDS of youngsters in Northumberland will be able to meet some of their favourite authors when an annual celebration of children's books gets underway next week. Staff at the county's libraries have organised the get-togethers as part of the 23rd Northern Children's Book Festival, which runs from Monday to Saturday, November 18. It is one of the biggest children's book festivals in the UK and has grown to involve libraries and schools across the region, attracting more than 40 authors to visit each November. Currently 27 species exist, of which one is in the genus Premnas and the rest are in the subfamily's type genus Amphiprion. , meeting youngsters from Cramlington's Hareside and St Paul's First Schools in the town's library on Thursday November 16. Author Julia Jarman will be visiting Morpeth Library, illustrator and cartoonist Steve Weatherill will meet children from four Tynedale schools and writer Nicola Morgan will be in Rothbury and Sea-houses.
