Tending to chirp: a chirpy parakeet. 3. new kids TV character from S4C S4C skate for cancer S4C Siannel Pedwar Cymru (Channel 4 Wales, Television) , will be star attraction at the city's Tafwyl festival this Friday. Cyw (the Welsh word for chick, pronounced 'q') will be accompanied at the festival in Cardiff Bay by current S4C favourites including Sali Mali, and Now from Ribidires. The event has been organised by the Welsh language pre-school nursery groups organisation Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin. Cyw and his friends are also visiting schools across Wales all this week in a colourful double-decker bus to help promote S4C's new service, which goes live on S4C Digidol on June 23. Youngsters will get a chance to meet Cyw as part of a special bus tour travelling across the country this month. During Cyw's visit to the Tafwyl festival, there'll be a chance to hear the Cyw theme song and learn more about the year-round service, which will be broadcast Mondays to Fridays, 7amto 1.30pm. |
